HarmonySoft was born in 1986, when Michael Haephrati has started working on several projects for the Amiga computer which were focusing in music, art and creativity. He has cooperated with the artist Yaacov Agam and during his studies at the Tel Aviv University Music Academy, mastering in Music Composing, he worked on converting knowledge and expertee in composition, voice leading and orcastrating into expert system software.

An example of such work was the Harmony project.

During 1989 Michael Haephrati and a few friends have started developing Rashumon, the first graphic multi-lingual word.processor for the Aminga.
